🚩Land Claiming

We have switched from GriefPrevention to GriefDefender! Why? GriefDefender is more powerful and has a few built-in features that require less plugins!

Welcome to GriefDefender! This guide will help you understand the basics of claiming land to protect your builds and belongings on our server. Here, you'll learn about different types of claims, how to create and manage them, and some of the unique features of GriefDefender.

Basic Commands

These are some of the basic / common commands for GriefDefender

Command	Description
/kit claim	Gives you the tools you need to claim & view claims
/claimtool	Toggles the claim tool usage (Will disable / enable for gold shovel & stick)
/claimgui	Toggles between GUI or chat based information "Chat GUI Enabled" will display all claim information in chat "Inventory GUI Enabled" will display all claim information in a GUI
/claim	Toggles claiming without needing a claim tool Left click the corners of the area you want to claim
/claimslist	Will display information about all of your claims
/claiminfo	Displays current claim information
/basicclaims	Creates a normal claim
/subdivideclaims	Creates a subdivided claim with in a parent claim (basic claim)
/cuboid	Creates a claim in 3D space, allowing you to change the verticality of the claim
/abandon	Abandons the claim you are currently standing in (If standing in CHILD claim, will only abandon that claim)
/abandonallclaims	Abandons all claims
/abandontop	Abandons the top level claim (If standing in CHILD claim, it will only abandon the PARENT claim)
/buyclaimblocks [amount]	Use $$$ to buy claim blocks ($4/ea)
/sellclaimblocks [amount]	Sell back claim blocks to the server for $$$ ($1/ea)
/claimsell [price]	Put your claim up for sale
/claimbuy	See a list of all claims for sale

Claim Management

These commands allow you to closely manage your claim

Command	Description
/trust [player] [accessor | builder | container | manager | resident]	Trusts a player with given permission in a claim you are standing in Each optional permission level allows for a specific level of trust. ex: "container" can only access chests, furnaces, etc - but not place blocks.
/untrust [player]	Will remove a players trust in a claim you are standing in
/trustlist	Lists all trusted players in the claim you are standing in
/claimflag	Manipulate your claim by setting specific flags. Ex: "pvp", "leaf-decay", etc

General Concepts

Basic Claims

Basic claims are plots of land you can claim to prevent other players from building, breaking blocks, or interacting with items within your claimed area.

• Creating a Basic Claim: Use a Golden Shovel to mark two opposite corners of your desired claim area. This will create a rectangular claim.

Subdivided Claims

Subdivided claims are smaller claims within a larger, parent, claim. These allow you to manage permissions for specific areas within your main claim.

• Creating Subdivided Claims: Stand inside your main claim, then use the /subdivideclaims command and the Golden Shovel to mark the corners of your subdivision.

Cuboid Claims

Cuboid claims can extend from bedrock to the sky limit much like a normal claim - however, a cuboid claim can be defined in 3D space - allowing you to create a vertical limit to the claim.

• Ex: This can be used to create sub-divided claims in 3D space, with no risk to the vertical surroundings of the parent claim.

• Creating Cuboid Claims: Use the /cuboid command with the claim tool to mark the corners of your cuboid claim.

Earning Claim Blocks

Claim blocks are the currency for creating and expanding your claims. You earn claim blocks over time by playing on the server.

Ways to Earn Claim Blocks:

• Playtime: Earn claim blocks simply by being active on the server.

• In-Game Currency: Purchase additional claim blocks using the server’s economy system

• Voting: Voting every day will give you claim blocks

• Crates: Crates will reward claim blocks
